Washington DC Police
The Washington DC Metropolitan Police is one the 10 largest police agencies in the United States and is the primary law enforcement agency for the District of Columbia. They are on the forefront of technological advances in crime fighting, from highly developed breakthroughs in evidence analysis to state-of the-art-information technology.
After a comprehensive evaluation of the BMW R 1250 RT-P, the Washington DC Metropolitan Police procured 33 specially built motorcycles in November of 2020. In one of their first public appearances, the new R 1250 RT-P’s were seen leading the Presidential Inauguration Parade on January 20, 2021.
The BMWs are used daily in the District for Presidential motorcades, dignitary escorts, funeral escorts, parades and First Amendment marches throughout the National Capital Region.
